If you’re truly striving for happiness, there’s no room for you to engage in gossip, petty arguments or drama. Just run the numbers. There are just not enough hours in the day to worry about what other people are doing if you’re busy doing what makes YOU happy. You don’t have time for negativity.

Happy Mother’s Day! They say a man’s work is from sun to sun, but a mother’s work is never done. But then neither are the rewards. A high five to the mommies that make it look easy; a fist bump to the single mommies planning their own mother’s day celebrations and a huge heart hug to my mother (E Jean Whitfield), sister (Stacy Jones and BFF (Mary Flowers Boyce) - my number one mommy role models. One thing that I’ve learned is that the best cure I know for worry is action. The best cure for being tired is helping someone who is even more tired. One of the great ironies of life is this: He or she who serves almost always benefits more than he or she who is served. But Martin Luther King Jr. said it best, “Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” As you KEEP GOING this week … don’t forget to help someone along the way.
