I LOVE get-togethers with immediate family, extended family, and friends. Great food, hugs & love, fun domino games turned serious, and old-school reggae playing throughout the house. My heart is happy.
Him: Mom? Me: Yes? Him: Can I have the box back after you open the Christmas present I gave you? Me: You want the box back? Him: Yes. Me: Ok. (long pause) Why? Him: Because it’s a ring box. Me: Ok but why do you need it back? Him: I’m going to save it for the ring I buy for my wife. That’ll make it even more special. Me: (really long pause) Sure. ***Wipes eyes***
He is the kindest child. I love that about him. Love it so much I didn’t even tell him that they’d give him an even better box when he actually buys the ring.
